    Bird busts

    Here's a couple more cold-cast bronze sculptures. They're approx life-sized, although the woodcock is slightly exaggerated.

    Approx height is 5" for the grouse and 4" for the w'cock.

    I'm thinking of having them cast in bronze, as well.

    A couple more pics. Still bad photos (God, I suck!) but I like the perspective better, and you can at least somewhat see the black patina on the woodcock's crown and eyes, and the grouse's ruff. FWIW.

        Thanks, Phil. I do have a pheasant bust nearly done, but it's huge and I'm not sure I'm capable of casting it in resin.

        You've made me think, tough, that maybe I should do a hanging pheasant bookend. Thanks!
